Temp Mail gives you a short-lived, receive-only address for a task that does not deserve a place in your everyday inbox. This page creates the address in your browser, keeps it visible for two hours, and does not ask you to open an account. It is a disposable mailbox, not a second identity and not a way to disappear online. The website receiving the address can still see the information it normally collects. If nothing has arrived, the inbox stays empty and no sample message is shown.
When to use it
Use a temporary address for a low-stakes signup, a short trial, or a one-time code when you only need to complete the task in front of you. Copy the address into that form, finish the step, and copy out anything you need before the two-hour window ends. It can keep a one-off newsletter or download prompt away from your regular mailbox. Do not use it when you need a lasting account, future notices, or a reliable recovery route.
How the inbox works
The address sits above the inbox table. Copy puts it on your clipboard; Refresh checks the view and updates the check time without inventing mail; New address replaces it with a different address; and Delete discards the current one and starts again. If a real message appears, read it in the inbox and take the code or link you need while the address is still alive. If nothing has arrived, Refresh leaves the waiting row in place.
What it will not do
Temp Mail cannot send, reply to, or forward messages. It is also not a safe mailbox for banking, payments, recovery addresses, medical records, payroll, or any account you may need after today. How long does an address last?
Two hours from the moment this browser created it. The line under the address says so. There is no extend button. New address and Delete both start over with a different local-part on tempmails.us. Reloading keeps the current address until the window ends or you clear this site's stored data.
Can I send or reply from this page?
No. The inbox is receive-only. The controls are Copy, New address, Refresh, and Delete, in one row under the address. There is no compose box, no reply, and no forward. If a website requires you to answer a message, use a mailbox that can send.
Why does Refresh leave the inbox empty?
Refresh updates the last-checked time and does not add a sender, a subject, or a time. The waiting row means nothing is being displayed. If nothing has arrived, the waiting row stays. No sample message is ever inserted.
What does this site store in the browser?
It stores the current address, its expiry, and a mailbox token in local storage for tempmails.us, so the two-hour clock survives a reload. It does not ask for an account. The pages do not load third-party fonts, analytics, or advertising scripts.
Can I use the address for a bank or for recovery mail?
No. When the two hours end you lose whatever you did not copy out. Banks, payroll, medicine, government portals, and the recovery address for your main accounts need a mailbox you will still have later.
